Samsung washing machine error codes – Front-load WF8652NFV main & sub PCB
10 codes from the Samsung service manual, with what each one means and the usual causes. Connector and pin map, not error codes. Use it to check whether a part gets supply before replacing the board.
You can safely switch the unit off at the switch, wait 5 minutes and switch on again. Don't open the unit, touch wiring or handle gas: these checks need a trained technician.
CN9
Power supply in (AC 220 V)
What our technician checks
- Measure AC 220 V across CN9 with the machine switched on. No voltage = check the plug, mains cord, noise filter and door-side wiring before blaming the board.
RY1
Main power relay
What our technician checks
- The relay feeds AC 220 V to the board loads once the board starts. Listen for the click at power-on
- measure 220 V on the load side when it should be on.
RY3
Washing heater relay
What our technician checks
- When a hot wash calls for heat, 220 V should appear at the heater. Check the heater resistance too (heater open = no heat even with relay OK).
CN8
Water level, heater temperature and leak sensor port
What our technician checks
- Check 5 V between pin 4 and pin 5. If 5 V is missing, the board power supply is faulty. Unplug and measure the heater temp sensor (thermistor) across pins 1-2. Check the water-level sensor signal on pin 3 changes as the drum fills, and the hose to the pressure sensor is not blocked or holed.
CN6
Loads port: door lock, valves, drain pump, air-wash
What our technician checks
- When a load should be on, measure AC 220 V from that pin to the common (neutral) at the part. Voltage present but the part does not work = the part is faulty (check its coil resistance). No voltage = board driver/triac or wiring.
CN2
Wash motor power port
What our technician checks
- Board switches the motor through its direction and high-speed relays. Check motor brushes and field/armature windings, and the wiring harness to the motor. Check 220 V reaches pin 3 while washing.
CN3
Motor tacho (speed) signal
What our technician checks
- Tacho coil resistance at the motor (unplugged)
- output AC voltage rises as you turn the drum by hand. Broken tacho = motor runs jerky, full speed, or not at all.
CN5
Motor protector (thermal cut-out)
What our technician checks
- Must show continuity across the protector when the motor is cool. Open = motor overheated or protector failed.
CN4
Silver Nano control board port
What our technician checks
- Only on Silver Nano models. Check the connector and the separate Silver Nano board.
CN1 (sub PCB)
Program writing port on the display board
What our technician checks
- Used only to reload software. Pin 3 to pin 2 should be 5 V
- if not, the display board supply is missing.
